Sydney & Keegan’s Wedding Day at La Maison Blanc
Last weekend, I had the honor of photographing Sydney and Keegan’s beautiful wedding at the stunning La Maison Blanc in Pearland, Texas. Their day was a perfect blend of love, joy, and careful planning, with the charming venue providing the perfect backdrop for their celebration.
Preparing for the Big Day
Leading up to the wedding, I was a little nervous about the 50% chance of rain in the forecast. Sydney, her mom, and I had been working on this day for over a year, and I wanted everything to go perfectly for this sweet family. The unpredictable December weather in Houston could swing from hot to cold, and the possibility of rain added an extra layer of uncertainty.
Fortunately, the skies stayed clear when I arrived, though the ceremony had been wisely moved indoors to keep guests warm and dry. The indoor setup was stunning, with elegant linens draped around the chairs and large windows providing a view of the lush green vineyards outside.
Getting Ready
Sydney and her bridesmaids were full of excitement as they prepared in the bridal suite. Meanwhile, Keegan and his groomsmen were in the groom’s suite, sharing laughs and sneaking snacks while getting ready.
The deep cranberry red accents Sydney chose for her wedding details paired beautifully with the clean white of the venue. The pops of color were elegant and seasonally appropriate for December, without leaning too much into a holiday theme. The sparkling linens on the chairs and sweetheart table added a touch of glamour and shimmered beautifully throughout the evening.
Portraits Before the Ceremony
One of my favorite parts of the day was Sydney’s decision to schedule pre-ceremony portraits outside—without seeing Keegan before Ceremony! The clear skies allowed us to take both the bridal party and groomsmen outdoors for portraits, capturing the beauty of the venue’s outdoor spaces.
This extra planning time allowed us to capture meaningful moments with their parents and wedding party before the ceremony. Sydney looked breathtaking in her gown. The deep cranberry tones in the bridesmaid dresses and navy suits of the groomsmen created a striking and timeless combination.
A Ceremony with Heart
The indoor ceremony was intimate and warm, with the beautiful vineyard views through the windows providing a serene backdrop. Sydney and Keegan exchanged heartfelt vows surrounded by their loved ones, creating a moment everyone will treasure.
Golden Hour and the Celebration
After the ceremony, we stepped outside to capture golden-hour portraits of Sydney and Keegan. These photos showcased the love they share and the beauty of La Maison Blanc.
The reception was lively and full of heartfelt moments, from their first dances to the touching toasts by family and friends. Sydney’s dedication of her bouquet to her mother was a particularly sweet moment, as was their private last dance before the grand send-off.
The deep cranberry accents, sparkling linens, and joyous energy carried through the night, creating an atmosphere of celebration and love.
A Personal Connection
A special surprise for me was discovering that Sydney played softball in Pearland, just like I did! Seeing familiar faces among the guests made the day even more special for me. Sydney played softball and Keegan played baseball, and it sounds like they were both very good at their sports!
Closing Thoughts
Sydney and Keegan’s wedding day was everything they hoped for—a gorgeous celebration filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. I feel so grateful to have been a part of it and to witness all the planning and effort come together for this wonderful couple.
Congratulations, Sydney and Keegan! May your life together be as beautiful as the day you said, “I do.
