Ashley & Brian’s Noah’s Event Venue Winter Wedding
I first photographed Ashley and Brian together for Brian’s Senior graduation pictures. Ashley was there with him, and at the time I thought I better not take too many pictures of them together because you never know. High school relationships don’t always work out, but I am SOO SOO glad these two high school sweet hearts did! Because I absolutely loved working with them for their engagement photos and wedding day! I love Ashley because she loves photos! I could just tell that photography was so important to her, and that is just so flattering to me and makes me KNOW that she wants me to take her picture! She definitely was down for whatever I wanted to do when it came for photos, and I appreciate that. Wedding days go by so fast, so I know time spent with me taking pictures is valuable time!
The wedding had a mixture of deep burgundy with pinks and some gold and navy too.
Ashley is so gorgeous. We were able to plan for Ashley to get ready early, so that we could have a mini Bridal session with her before ceremony outside the venue. We just had to make sure all the guys stayed locked away!
I’m just a little obsessed with the Bridesmaids burgundy Bridesmaid dresses. They each had a different style, but this was very winter wedding, but still really flattering!
Ashley’s Mom and Brother-in-Law walked her down the aisle.
We took couple’s portraits just before the sunset behind the venue. They had the perfect area of greenery back there for us where we didn’t have to walk on the wet ground.
These two look great from every angle!
I love the little bit of sunset you can still see in the background of the Wedding party and family photos!
So, one of the highlights of this wedding was the PARTY! Ashley and Brian told me they had a big party crowd, but I was a little nervous at first. I saw a real mixture of ages from kids to older adults. I wasn’t sure if they would live up to Ashley’s expectations, but THEY DID! She knew her friends and family well! They partied till the end, and they had a long reception with lots of activities!
They started off the reception with all the sweet dances. Ashley had a first dance with her Mom that was so, so heartfelt. There’s nothing like the appreciation we have for our Moms. They often like to hide from the camera, but they deserve the spotlight!
The Best Man composed a song for his Best Man toast that was awesome. It was so funny and sweet at the same time. How cool is that!
After all the formal activities concluded, the dance party started!
The couple also did a Mexican traditional Wedding “game” called La Vibora de la Mar where the men and women are divided and take turns running under the arch of the Bride and Groom. This was really fun, but when the guys went they were dead sprinting through this reception for a good several minutes in full on formal gear. It was hilarious and wild! Little boys were flying through the air, and I was scared some of the older gentlemen might have a heart attack afterwards. One was lying on his back on the floor when it ended. It was one of the best things I have ever seen.
While the energy was still high, the guys all threw Brian up towards the ceiling over and over again, higher than I would deem safe. Luckily, no one was hurt during all this excitement!
The reception was so fun. Everyone had a great time, and the children there were much better dancers than me, like WAY better.
The couple had a romantic sparkler exit! I love a good exit photo, and I think this is one of my favorites. A perfect kiss/dip!
