Jake’s Sunset Proposal to Rebecca on Galveston Beach

I recently had the honor of photographing a beautiful and heartfelt proposal between Jake and Rebecca on the sandy shores of Galveston Beach. From the moment the plan to surprise Rebecca, I knew this was going to be something special.

Jake had always known that Rebecca was the one for him. He didn’t hesitate to let her know he wanted to marry her and even asked her to pick out a ring she loved. After getting the blessing from her parents, Rebecca thought the proposal might come around the holidays. But Jake couldn’t wait that long—he was ready to make it happen sooner.

He told Rebecca they were heading to Galveston for a family birthday dinner, but he had another plan in mind. Along the way, he casually mentioned wanting to stop and check out a fishing spot. Little did Rebecca know, Jake had enlisted the help of both their families to create the perfect beach proposal at sunset.

While they were on their way, their families were busy setting up tiki torches, flowers, champagne, and rose petals along the sand, waiting for their arrival. As the sun dipped lower, painting the sky with beautiful colors, Jake led Rebecca to the beach where everything was perfectly arranged.

When they arrived at the setup, Rebecca was in complete shock. Before she had a chance to fully process what was happening, Jake got down on one knee and popped the question. As soon as she said yes, both of their families rushed out from their hiding spot to celebrate with the happy couple, making the moment even more meaningful.

Jake and Rebecca are such a sweet couple, and it was clear how much love surrounded them from their families. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love photographing proposals and weddings. I couldn’t be happier for them as they start this next chapter together.

And in a funny twist of fate, I found out that Jake and I both went to Pearland High School! It really is a small world.
