Photoshop Textures

I’ve been seeing that the latest new thing in photography is using textures on the photos Professionals take.  I’d never done it before, but on my latest shoot, I decided to try it out on some of my photos that I thought needed some extra “oomph.”  While I do think it spices up the photos, I don’t think it is a style I will grab onto.  I think taking clear photos that make the person/people look beautiful is a more timeless technique and I plan to stick to that.

Out of these 3, I like how texture looks best with the brick wall.  I probably also could learn more about this stuff, but I don’t think this will be my top priority.  In other news, Houston Center for Photography just announced their new Summer schedule, so I will be checking that out.
