How to Have An Aggie Wedding! | Jessica Pledger Photography
10 Ways to have the Ultimate Aggie Wedding
This past Saturday I photographed a beautiful wedding for Adrienne & David, two proud Aggies! They had an amazing wedding day, and they had so many fun details that I wanted to share with you in case you are looking for your own Aggie Wedding Inspiration!
Have Maroon as one of your wedding colors
If you get married in the Fall and call the color burgundy, it will fit perfectly with the season! Maroon doesn’t have to take over your wedding day, you can blend it in with pinks and purples and it looks so beautiful!
Wear a Maroon suit
This is considered a burgundy suit, but we all know this is the ultimate Aggie suit!
Have a giant replica of Kyle Field as your Groom’s cake
Extra points if the cake can play the Aggie War Hymn like this one!
Have your rehearsal dinner at an amazing Steak House
Adrienne and David had their rehearsal dinner at B&B Butchers in Houston, an awesome steakhouse with an outdoor patio overlooking the downtown skyline.  All your guests can eat a giant delicious steak. Nothing is more Texas than that!
Have a Wooden Texas Sign-in block
Even though Adrienne & David now live in Oklahoma, they made sure to incorporate their wonderful home state of Texas on their sign-in table, with Oklahoma on there too, of course.
Honor your family
Everyone knows Aggies are all about friends and family, so make sure to honor them on Wedding day too!
Bling out your Aggie ring
David gave Adrienne an Aggie ring wrap for a gift while dating, so you can wear an Aggie Ring Wrap and bling out both hands on wedding day!
Sing the Aggie War Hymn
It wouldn’t be an Aggie Wedding without the War Hymn! You have to sing the Aggie War Hymn, even if you have some opposing fans trying to discourage it.
Custom Groomsmen socks with their Pet’s face!
Texas Ags love their animals! All of the Groomsmen had pets, and they were each given custom socks with their own pets face on them. I am actually pretty jealous. Sounds like a great stocking stuffer for my husband this year.
Get Whataburger catered for a post-dance floor snack!
Honey-butter Chicken biscuits for the win. I may or may not have a snapchat of me eating one around midnight.
What-a-night indeed!
I hope you found some Gig ‘Em inspiration from Adrienne & David’s beautiful wedding day!
